Listen to your heart

Hi there! Welcome back to my blog! This week's theme is "A playlist of your life, songs that define you or that helped you spend a moment of your life." It is a subject that I liked, but it was also difficult for me to decide. I don't have a specific song that is my favorite. I could tell you one song per artist, or group or album. But only one is something really difficult to choose. But the songs I chose are more about memories of my childhood.

However, the song “Claridad”, by the Menudo group, is a song that I like and it reminds me a lot of my childhood. At those times when my mom played music and we all sang to clean up. That music that my mother loves and now I also like my brothers.

There is also the one for "I was made for lovin' you" by Kiss. It is a song that also reminds me of my childhood and the music that my father likes, and now I love it. I'm a mega fan of the music of the 70's, 80's and 90's and all because of my dad. My memories are about my dad's rest days and how we all invaded my parents' room to watch videos.

And that video made us laugh a lot. I have two specific songs. "Luces de esta ciudad" by Division Minuscula and "It's my life", by Bon Jovi. It reminds me a lot of those moments I shared as a child with my brothers and my cousins. When we said that we would form a band and that I would learn to play the keyboard and the drums.

And with special mention, I have the song "Dancin" of Aaron Smith. This song is my alarm. I like the sound, they are sticky. I listen to it when I wake up and I feel good. And then I remember the video that I met her with and it makes me laugh a lot.

I believe that music has something special and that can change your state of mind. Music has the power to make you cry, to make you happy, to make you feel better, melancholic, etc. And I think that's why they are necessary at times in our lives.

What is your song list?

So it was…

 So it was...

What are embarrassing moments? For me, it is those experiences that we live that make us feel ashamed, that make us want the earth to swallow us and hide forever from the world. I have, like anyone, many embarrassing moments.

However, they are bad memories. Those are bad memories. Moments that sometimes I want to forget because of the shame or moments when I remember and they make me laugh a lot, but only sometimes.

Picking one is not difficult. I have an embarrassing moment that I remember a lot and now, it makes me laugh. I even think I will never forget it. I feel that it would be an anecdote that I will tell my children, my nephews and my future grandchildren.

It was many years ago, I was twelve years old and I remember very well because it was when I had my first menstrual period. I have seen that there are still people who are uncomfortable talking about this issue, but I honestly do not have it.

However, I have to admit that before it was a subject that I was very ashamed of and all for that embarrassing moment.

I remember that I went with my mother and my brothers to the store to buy pantry for the house. Everything was going great until my mom told me to go get feminine pads. It was the first time that I would buy them and I was nervous and embarrassed but I never expected that my brothers would follow me. And less than my brother Leo would arrive first.

And the tragedy happened.

I remember seeing with horror how Leo approached the products, took one, turned to where he was and looking at me, he yelled:

-These !?

I watched in shock as people turned to us. I think I had never been so red in the face as at that time. I wanted the earth to open up, swallow me up and throw me into China to start another life without anyone knowing me.

It took a long time for me to finally buy my own feminine pads.

And that's my most embarrassing moment. What's yours?

My skills ... this is a part of me

My skills... this is a part of me

Skills are those things in which we are better than in the rest, that we like more and in which we excel. Like superpowers. Each one has their own skills and that makes us, what I believe, part of who we are.

I, for my part, have my own skills. The main one and the one that has helped me the most in my life in many ways, from school as a hobby, is reading and the skill that I develop by reading, reading comprehension. It has helped me with my homework and the class work that the teachers give us. Reading comprehension has helped me understand texts and be able to work better.

Another skill I have is my skills to adapt. I consider myself a versatile person, my adaptation skill has helped me to adapt to situations or even people. That has helped me to endure difficult situations.

I'm also strong, not only physically but emotionally. In the sense that I have a good management of my emotions, although sometimes with my expressions they escape me. This skill has helped me in difficult, uncomfortable and angry situations.

My imagination and creativity are other skills that have helped me both in school and to escape reality a bit. Also as part of one of my hobbies, writing stories and those skills help me.

Like everyone, I have many skills but I feel that these are the most important. And they are part of what makes me what I'm.

What are your skills?

My tips for you
